Today we will talk about the cool musical band Metallica. The main genre of the group is thrash metal, but their music is also referred to as heavy metal. A group was born in the United States, back in 1981, and continues to delight its idols so far !. The group produced tracks under the label: “Warner Bros.”.

The discography of the group has 10 albums. Most of all, I like the 2003 album released under the name “St. Anger” The tracks of this album are permeated with notes of joy that cause a lot of emotions. For example let’s check up song called “Enter Sandman”. This song was featured as the opening track and lead single. The song was produced by Bob Rock, music was written by Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, and James Hetfield. Hetfield (vocalist and guitarist)  wrote the lyrics. The single achieved gold certification for more than 500,000 copies shipped in the United States. That is fantastic results!

Among the other albums released by the group, it is worth noting:

  • “Kill ’em All”, “Ride the Lightning”,
  • “Master of Puppets”,
  • “… And Justice for All”,
  • “Metallica (The Black Album)”,
  • “Load”, “Reload “,
  • ” Death Magnetic “,
  • ” Hardwired … To Self-Destruct “.

Over the entire period, the group has repeatedly changed its composition. Now there are 4 people in the group. Among the participants it is worth highlighting: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo. Personally, it seems to me that it is Lars Ulrich who makes the team so outstanding due to its sexuality. Also, you cannot ignore the fact that James Hetfield is considered by many experts to be the mastermind of the group. Also from the old participants there are those whose influence on the development of the group cannot be ignored. Among them, for example, Jason Newstead. Many experts recognize the exclusivity of his work. It was he who came up with the words for the legendary song “Master of Puppets”. Another member of the band, Ron McGowney, also deserves mention.

As for me, the band’s coolest song is “One.” “One” was written in November 1987 by Metallica’s principal composers – rhythm guitarist / vocalist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. This song details the life of a soldier after he becomes a decerebrated paraplegic. During his time in the hospital, he reflects on his life and things his father told him. The doctors become worried because he does not die.

The lyrics are based on the novel “Johnny Got His Gun” by Dalton Trumbo, an anti-war novel about World War I.

However, Jethro Tull won the award for Crest of a Knave! This provoked a lot of controversy, as Metallica was the expected winner and was left to wait for the award for the performance of the song “One” for the air.
