Rock legends Led Zeppelin
Today we will talk about the cool Led Zeppelin group. The main genre of the group is hard rock, but their music is also referred to as heavy metal. The team was created back in 1968. The band created tracks under the label: Atlantic RecordsSwan Song Records.
New an old members…
Over the entire period, the group has repeatedly changed its composition. It is also worth noting the contribution to the development of the group that the old members made. Among them, for example, John Bonham. Many experts recognize the exclusivity of his work. It was he who came up with the words for the legendary song “Immigrant Song”.
“Immigrant Song” was written during Led Zeppelin’s tour of Iceland, Bath and Germany in mid-1970 Also worth mentioning is another band member John Paul Jones.
The discography of the group has 9 albums. Most of all I like the album released in an undefined year under the name 1982 – Coda (Swan Song). The tracks of this album are permeated with notes of joy that cause a lot of emotions. Among the other albums released by the group it is worth noting:
- “1969 – Led Zeppelin (Atlantic Records)”,
- “1969 – Led Zeppelin II (Atlantic Records)”,
- “1970 – Led Zeppelin III (Atlantic Records)”,
- “1971 – Led Zeppelin IV ( Atlantic Records) “,
- ” 1973 – Houses of the Holy (Atlantic Records) “,
- ” 1975 – Physical Graffiti (Swan Song) “,
- ” 1976 – Presence (Swan Song) “,
- ” 1979 – In Through the Out Door (Swan Song ) “
Most famous song
Most fans think the band’s coolest song is “Immigrant Song”. Immigrant Song is the opening track on English rock band Led Zeppelin’s third album, Led Zeppelin III, written and released in 1970.
The song is famous for its distinctive, wailing cry from vocalist Robert Plant (with a melody reminiscent of “Bali Ha’i”) at the beginning of the song, and is built around a repeating, staccato Jimmy Page / John Paul Jones / John Bonham riff. The hiss at the beginning of the track is feedback from an echo unit.
“Immigrant Song” was written during Led Zeppelin’s tour of Iceland, Bath and Germany in mid-1970.
In between concerts, Page flew to London to (with Plant and Jones) receive the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music!
Also I love song called “Stairway to Heaven”. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant. Also it’s a known fact that this song is a part of fourth studio album “Led Zeppelin IV”.
